Teisco Lap Guitar 7 String 50's

The original pickup was a paper bobbin coil that sat over a MASSIVE steel plate with a relatively low power magnet.	Here you can see the bobbin pulled off the steel and magnet plate.
My replacement coil: you can see it is quite large it is wound with 38awg wire much like a Charlie Christian. It gives you a very fat and powerful tone without an over load of mids.	The pickup in place. I used Rod magnets to give it a more clean Fender twang to it.
