Repair: Gretsch (De Armond) Dynasonic Pickup
This is the condition I received this pickup in. The pickup is dead, and the top of the bobbin is broken.
This is a very complicated pickup and quite interesting pickup to examine from the bottom it looks like pistons.

The Repair
After dismantling the pickup and removing the wire, I noticed that the whole bobbin is a single piece of molded Bakelite.
Luckily the broken top did not effect the vertical part of the bobbin allowing me to cut the top off. I then fashioned a new top and glued it to the bobbin and drilled the holes.
